Turkish consumer self-confidence down 6.2 percent in June from May

According to th301 stainless steel coil pricee month-to-month consumer propensity survey released by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), the customer self-confidence index * in Turkey, which stood at 67.6 points in May this year, was down by 6.2 percent month on month in June this year to 63.4 points, having previously raised by 0.4 percent month on month in May.According to the indices based upon private concerns asked of Turkish consumers concerning the consumer tendency, in June the index for the basic existing economic scenario dropped by 2.5 percent month on month to 36.9 factors, while the index for the basic economic scenario in the following one year reduced by 7.1 percent compared to May to 61.6 points.Meanwhile, in the offered month, the index for whether today is a great time to purchase durables increased by 3.2 percent to 29.6 points, while the index for the likelihood of buying consumer goods in the next one year visited 1.8 percent to 87.5 points, both on month-on-month basis.In June, the possibility of purchasing a vehicle in the following one year declined by 20.5 percent to 9.1 factors as well as the index for the possibility of purchasing or developing a house in the next year relocated down steel coil stockby 15.8 percent to 6.1 factors, both month on month. * When the index is over 100 it shows a positive overview, when it amounts to 100 it suggests a neutral outlook and also below 100 it indicates a cynical expectation.
